Late news from January - female Black Duck seen briefly at Wilstone Reservoir on 11th January (identity confirmed after checking skins at Tring, first thought to be a hybrid)
10TH APR: c120 Golden Plover (summer plumage) at Kimpton....Blackcap in Hatfield Garden Village
9TH APR: Swallow and Little Ringed Plover at Amwell....Whitethroat, Swallow, 2 Gadwall and Kingfisher at Tyttenhanger....at Amwell - drake Garganey, male Blackcap, 3 Little Ringed Plovers, 2 Ringed Plovers, 2 Redshanks, House Martin, 3 Swallows, Sand Martin, Common Sandpiper....2 Whooper Swans and 2 Common Terns at Wilstone....3 Ruddy Ducks, 3-4 Swallows, 2 Grey Wagtails and pr Great Crested Grebe with young at Verulamium Park, St Albans
